I keep trying to make it so that I can enter my link into comments that I leave and I have the code to do it and I can not for the life of me make it work!
Disclaimer: I consider myself to be a somewhat tech savvy person so I just need some help...

OK, so this is what I am supposed to be using if I want to enter it, right? But here's the deal... every time I try to put that in my comments the blog says something like:
Your HTML cannot be accepted: Reference "“http:" is not allowed: A
| ||
Ummm ok, so I tried it without http:// in the link and that just reroutes me back to the blogger's post who I am trying to comment on.
What am I doing wrong?
Try taking out the / at the end of your blog URL.

Ugh, that was a good idea; I tried it but it is still giving me this stupid message: Your HTML cannot be accepted: Reference "“http:" is not allowed: A

ReplyDeleteDiane! You are magic! What did you do?! This is great because I can just copy and paste your link that you just made earlier. I am going to stop by your blog and leave a comment to try. Thanks Diane!
DeleteWell apparently I can't just copy and paste your link - just kidding... I wish you could type out what you entered in but you probably can't because it's a link, right? Should I not be putting the http:// part up front of the URL?
DeleteHmm, worked for me! Weird!

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Got it to work - thanks to Diane from Fifth in the Middle!
ReplyDeleteHeather- When I first started blogging, someone told me I was a no reply blogger (currently you are too). Which meant that when I left comments on peoples posts, they couldn't email me a response directly (It seems that most bloggers reply this way). It's kinda nice, because then you know if the person responded and you don't have to keep checking their post. All you have to do is go into Blogger --->Settings ---> Mobile and Email --->add your email address to the Comment Notification Email box. Once this is done, bloggers can response directly to your post via the email notification we get when they left the comment. If this makes sense...Of course if you want your email to remain private...disregard this. :)

Colored shoelaces add a touch of style and a subtle pop of color to even the most formal outfits.
